The law is the law. True, but a plethora of bad laws causes disrespect for the concept of law in general, unfortunately. As does this administrations selective and cavalier treatment of said same. I agree with you about welfare benefits (and granting immediate citizenship to children born here of illegals is ridiculous), but would argue that most immigrants come here to work and better themselves and, on balance, this country is better off as a result. Do you equate birth control in the third world with abortions in this country? Do you think those countries will ever become prosperous (and lessen the flow of emmigrants) when they are drowning in a sea of overpopulation? -JB
