Most people are unfamiliar with it. As I told Neo, I don't think that Israel should be eliminated, but I do feel that it should be acknowledged that Zionists were using organized terrorism more than 20 years before the start of organized Palestinian terrorism. This is hardly surprising, of course. Terrorism is simply the way in which people without armies resort to violence; there is no fundamental difference at all between a car bomb and a cruise missile. When the Zionists had no army to speak of, they used terrorism; when the Palestinians were reduced to the same state they did the same. This has no real bearing on who, if anyone, is right or wrong. It does suggest that both sides would be well advised to abandon finger-pointing over actions past when it comes to looking for a solution. Not that this will ever happen.
