Mason & thread, Ebbers is Keynote Speaker on Sept. 24 in the PCS '99 Conference. According to the blurb in the news release issued in
June, "Ebbers will bring attendees up to date on MCI WorldCom's wireless developments as he discusses some of the important trends
shaping the industry's growth."<<

Also story on the wires about possible bids for Sprint by WCOM or DT:

quicken.excite.com

"A deal for Sprint would bring Clinton, Miss.-based MCI Worldcom (WCOM), the No. 2 U.S. long-distance carrier, closer
to AT&T in the long-distance market; Sprint's national wireless operation would also fill a hole in MCI Worldcom's
portfolio. Sprint may have backed away from Deutsche Telekom to assess MCI Worldcom's interest, the executives said."
