I believe that the clients Billserv has signed to date represent 216,000,000 paper bills in total- how many of these can be converted into e-bills remains to be seen. As for per unit costs - A recent story from American Banker outlined the cost to billers (look at post 508 for full story) Billserv.com charges less than $50,000, and typically $30,000 to $35,000, to get a biller up and running. The service costs 35 to 65 cents per bill after that. Billserv has higher per unit cost than it's competition but I think that's justified by the minimum total bills. BLLS will service Co's with a 10,000 monthly billing cycle, the competition has a 50,000 minimum.
