Ali - They bought something for 1.5 Billion that increased in value - substantially - in a relatively short time. If they have been buying back like this over the past 10 years I think that's great. Of course, AMD couldn't do this, because, well, you know...

Ali, with your foul mouth and blinding bitterness you fail to see that I essentially agree with you on this one. Despite your terrible record, I think you're basically correct here. But look at the long range picture. Intel buys back x million shares today at a lowball value due to put strategy, and grants them as employee options next year at a HIGHER price. The employees have to pay that higher price for those options because that is the new market price for the options on grant day. Intel is making money on this deal, not losing it. I know this is hard for you to grasp, a company stock actually going up consistently year after year but that's what happens to Intel.

BTW, it's PHUD sir, and try and get over that bitterness will you?
