Ali & thread,

Those of you with knowledge on the motherboard side, can you comment on the effects of the earthquake on motherboard production?

Isn't that fairly simple process? Will there be anything more than a few days worth of production loss?

P.S.: I have read about UMC and TSMC diffusion furnace quartzware being broken and can understand that the chipset production can be delayed by weeks but I have a hard time seeing that level of complexity or delays in motherboard production.

If they bought 1.5 billion $ worth of stock and kept it (which is what I think really happens, by the way), they get back the 1.5 billion in cash. What's the point?
