Aw, c'mon, now, Tim. I have no intention of getting into the position of being the defender of CNBC. But surely you'll agree that they do a pretty good job of keeping things interesting, and they give at least a half-hearted attempt to keep things from getting out of hand when there are fast swings, like today.

What would you have them do, ignore the big moves?
