The following is exactly the kind of smack-talking "shorts" I'm talking about. This one is at least absurdly humorous (from the Yahoo thread): Here's a little insight for those of you that have never lived through an earthquake. Living in LA when the Northridge quake happend, I witnissed a population that was on the verge of a nervous breakdown for about 4 months. Cars smashed into each other for about a year as people couldn't focus on the road. The stress levels were extremely high. LA only had about 28 casualties. Taiwan, on the other hand, is a disaster. So when you hear that the systems will be up and running in about 2 weeks, or even 2 months, be skeptical. Who knows how many of the people who run those chip machines are injured or dead. How many are in shock. Most I'd guess. 2 months before they're on line? Give me a break. We're talking 4-6 months before systems return to "normal." This Q and next Q for Cube will suck. Those who know more than me might post how much of CUBE's capacity is in Taiwan.
