It makes sense that a billionaire like Ballmer might tough it out through a self-inflicted drop in his own stock price to advance MSFT over the longer haul. They certainly can afford it. In addition to putting smaller tech companies at a competitive disadvantage..a sharp drop in tech stock prices would also make it much easier for MSFT to takeover more of them for less money.
