Summers

Found them. It was the pre-G-7 press conference, and accompanying statement.

Nice of Steve Ballmer to give the media a more colorful reason for the selloff...

Ganesh -- I have not heard anything about Sumners today. I think there are many with plans to exit soon -- but not yet. Today may start a stampede that will last through October and do serious, perhaps irreperable damage to the "leaders". You know, net stocks are really options on highly speculative future outcomes. They should probably not be traded as stocks but as LEAPS. At least then people would know there is a real chance their LEAPS will be worthless when they expire. If AMZN cannot make a profit in the next one or two years its value will be zero -- for example.
