The most important news from MSFT today was not Ballmers words, but that they are raising MSN internet access from 19.95 to 21.95. This should be huger for AOL and MSPG/ELNK. Means that MSFT is not going to lower the barrier. LArry

the last few days had some pain but in reality this selloff is not that major; JUST A NORMAL DIP
the DOW might, repeat might, correct to 9800 (not calling that)the NASD on the other hand has hardly broken; I think that is where the big risk is right now; I could easily see another 200-300 down from here
but buyers have been conditioned to buy the dips, so we'll see

I had a huge (for me) position in FNN which I sold at 61-61.50 today; so am flush with cash
am out on the tuna chase tomorrow so have entered a few small buy orders at very low "wish" prices in case we get a real tank while I'm at sea

I really have no good gut feel if we will be DOW up 200 or down 500 friday
but it's nice not to be exposed
only a few small short positions in trading account and about 80% cash in IRA
I'm glad things dumped so fast and that I'm not here tomorrw; kept my buy fingers from getting itchy

that only suggestion someone who made his first trade in 1969 and watched the 10/87 crash can give is to manage your funds and be nimble
remember, it is always better to miss profits than to lose capital

there will always be another stock and another day; so practice that bad word, PATIENCE
