This has great implications for modern Zionist Israel. The rabbinical and Zionist authorities claim modern Palestine on their "theoretical" genetic link to the ancient Hebrews of the Old Testament. If the modern Jews are not the descendants of the Old Testament Jews, then what right do they have to the land of Palestine?
