JMHO, Based on the recent ENGA news , i am hoping that CMGI/market opens low in the morning to give us longs another chance to loadup on CMGI prior to earnings. I think earnings are going to be good. Taiwan and all should impact few selected chip/box related stocks...of course MSFT cause no extra boxes sold no more windows and other stuff sold hence Ballmer comment that MSFT and everyone is overvalued. I wonder what took him so long to come out with this comment.

Don't be surprised if the worked out the numbers due to loss of CHIP production for 2 weeks into rev for MSFT etc. Again AOL and YHOO could not keep up in the meltdown today so I think CMGI did very well and tomorrow will be another day. Most investor will realize that Taiwan and stuff does not matter of stocks like CMGI and most nets.. hoping for an afternoon rebound in selected stocks...

Regards,

RE: Ballmer

I think the SEC should look into Ballmer to see if he didn't call his broker immediately after his comments to pick up some bargain basement shares.

His comments definitely impacted the markets and I think it's a shame. The info age has made it so the public reacts en masse to the babblings of any idiot with a public forum upon which to speak.

He probably cost Gates and Paul Allen a few billion in paper stock losses today.

If I were a M$FT shareholder I'd be doubly miffed that one of my Execs said we were overvalued. What is he hoping to accomplish? If you feel that way, keep your mouth shut and let the market hash it out. Comments from someone in that position that is so close to the subject can be blown out of proportion quickly.
