Of course I'm checking the manual. This is a delicate procedure. Basically though, the cardinal thumb rule is anything that gets the job done as long as you do not observe any actual movement in the green stuff. You know, any sort of amoebic undulation that might indicate that it is mutating into any type of potentially intelligent and probably carnivorous life form. If so, time to hang it up.
