Ike -- serious selling has been rare -- except perhaps last October when things did indeed look extra grim. I don't think we are on the verge of a meltdown -- but for those who think that this market is 'fairly valued' or that they are 'safe' cause they invest only in the 'leaders' -- ouch, there will be quite a shock when the 'leaders' are the ones hurt most badly in this decline. Companies like ebay, yhoo, amzn, etc., etc. could just as easily trade at a fraction of their current prices and still not be undervalued. Most of us know this is some way, but find it unthinkable that the market could change its tune after such a stupendous run up.
