PRI Automation to Contribute to Taiwan Earthquake Relief Effort

BILLERICA, Mass., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- PRI Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRIA - news) today announced it is contributing $20,000 to the Red Cross to aid in the rescue and relief efforts resulting from Tuesday's devastating earthquake in Taiwan.

''This donation is being made on behalf of all the employees of PRI to the people of Taiwan with the hope that it will help in the emergency relief efforts currently underway,'' said Mitch Tyson, president and chief executive officer of PRI Automation. ''PRI has worked with customers in Taiwan for several years and is committed to assisting in their recovery from this disaster. We applaud the efforts of other companies in the semiconductor industry who have already announced their intentions to support the rescue operation and we encourage more companies to do the same.''

PRI employs 35 people in Taiwan all of whom are located in Hsin-Chu. None of the company's employees or members of their families sustained any injuries and PRI's facilities sustained only minor damage. PRI's local service personnel have been in contact with customers and have already started assisting them in bringing their manufacturing facilities back on line as quickly as possible.
