Just listened to the Frontier shareholders conference call. A couple of notes: 1. A local union leader for telecommunications workers was present and said the union like the deal. Said US West was a mess and they have had union troubles for some time. Made it sound like the Qwest/US West deal may have some hurdles. 2. GBLX will not layoff people. In fact, they may need to hire because of there rapid expansion. Same problem DELL has been having. 3. Did not provide specifics, but said they may look at acquiring other telephone company's as assets. A very upbeat meeting. Understand there is only one more state that needs to approve the deal.
