DRake,

I listened to that report and PECK likes AMCC and SDLI. He didn't mentioned PMCS.

Cowen analyst call - serendipity. Balmer call - stupidty or genius?

Can't exactly fathom Balmer's call. High level execs don't talk about market valuations of their company (unless they feel they are UNDERVALUED or unduly, negatively targeted).

When's the last time you heard John Chambers or Jerry Yang say their stock prices were absurdly high?

1 - Balmer is worth $23B. That's "B". A "B" here. A "B" there. What the f-.
2 - Mister Softee is in the closing days of a big antitrust trial. Is he trying to steer the stock downward to soften the blow of a negative decision (probably a little early for that)? Or was he just tired and said something stupid (whether or not it is true)? Even the basic fact that his statement is a disservice to MSFT shareholders....

Whatever.... this type of statement is for analysts, pundits, and govt officials, not high tech operating execs.

(I know: I'm arguing that it's ok to steer an industry up, but wrong to steer it down (-;)

Rant off.
