actually, like a perfectly chilled and settled guinness, it's incredibly refreshing. one can't learn anything by talking and i've grown weary of bogarting this board. just bring your own elixir of choice, pony up to the reply button, and please, do stay awhile.

High Tech Features
Halpert Names Names
By Eliav Alalof
Published by Israel's Business Arena on September 22, 1999

Companies that achieve market values in the billions, deals involving hundreds of millions, start-ups cropping up everywhere - that's the Israeli high tech scene. But all this isn't enough to convince Salomon Smith Barney senior analyst Victor Halpert (whose name is well known to investors in Israeli companies) that there's an Israeli Nokia or Ericsson in the making. To tell the truth, he's not sure that the Israeli industry has overcome what he calls the "hit and run" syndrome. Not to mention the difficulty of knowing, with all these Internet start-ups, what's virtual and what isn't.
