Hi, Bill, very interesting what you are giving for printed c/boards to scrap the gold out of. When you say you are getting only a $1.25 per board in scrap value, are you including in that number, your recovered/sold silver as well from your scrapping?? The reason why I ask, is that you are getting ripped good, if you aren't getting paid for the silver as well, even at this low $5.25 +/- level.

In the 10 years I've been scrapping/recycling, I have pretty consistently thrown off 10 oz of silver for ever ounce of gold I recovered. No use getting ripped off that $50 bucks.

You write: "I suspect you recycle small bits of gold chain etc, nuggets etc that can be bought for that 20-35 per ounce. In Timmins there are always hghgraders with small nuggets to sell in the local bars and they typically get about $100 per ounce for hammered out stuff."

I have always saved up PLATED gold jewelry and run a batch when the bucket gets yay-full. They lathered gold plating on that stuff the way I like Hershey Syrup on my icecream<g>, so I always get a nice batch of 24K in the cyanide bath when I'm doing that stuff.

RE: nuggets: if you can put me onto fellas who will sell me small nuggets for $20-35 an ounce, I'll be a buyer all day long!!!! Do they want it in looney bucks or green pix of dead presidents???? Wouldn't mind a quartz matrix piece or two for myself. And I'm as serious as the plague here, Bill!!!!

Timmins police and a highgrade squad? Now that's interesting! Copper and aluminum that powers the place. Reminds me of stateside a few years back when the aluminum guard-rails on the various stretches of highway were being stolen left and right and scrapped. Some people are so DUMB!!!

Do write again and let me know about those dirty nuggets sellers. I'll figure out a way to cut you in on the action. Suggest you PM that info HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHaw!
