Yes, I'm sure you're right. And the 3,000 contract trade was probably Ballmer's too. I bet that sneaky Ballmer's been buying puts and selling calls secretly for months now with the plan to drop the bomb on the market on D-day: Sept. 23, 1999. I bet he had something to do with George C. Scott's passing too.

Note to J.P. and many of our new threadmates tonight: You're a little early - the full moon isn't until Saturday.

With the plethora of great technology co's to invest in, MY MONEY is going to be with the companies that have responsible presidents, CEO's, CFO's & CTO's.
I sold off BRCM last week after the CEO & CTO came out swinging at Disney's Anaheim Ducks and Angels. The last thing in the world I want is the distraction that 500M down the toilet will put on the president of a company.
Ballmer was completely out-of-line with his comments. The market is the judge of wether a company is over-valued, not the friggin company president. This is a sure sign the guy has WAY too much money, IMHO.

Who knew that soft was gonna fall? Answer: Steve Ballmer, and I'd bet dollars to donuts he was behind the put play

If that turns out to be true, then he'll be up to his ears in deep do-do. I don't think he's that stupid, though, but I really would like to know who was behind that monster put option play.
