nice commentary jenna,,,, on a side note i was amazed today by MYGN,, called here not to long ago at 8-9. Anyone interested i can tell you some big money has been pouring into that one for weeks,, and what amazed me today was that TGUL who makes a market in the stock was accumulating ungodly amounts of it at all time high prices,, i watched as that mm absorbed like close to 500,000 shares close to 19 and withing like 30 minutes and never budged. Whoever was channeling through tgul must have picked up well over a mil today,, I wonder who it is,,, judging by that resilience and that kind of sustainted buying interest at those levels id say this one is in for an interesting 12 months ahead. I was long this morn and took profits in the 16 arena,, then after being bored all day and watching it i tried to short it and got hammered. That was when i noticed this massive accum pattern unrelated to ecn trading,, id really like to know who was in that stock today.

Jenna...I appreciate the well thought out post about shorting, since I have been shorting stocks for a while now I agree with you whole heartedly about your strategies for shorting ( as well as going long stocks), especially in this market. I could probably write a book of a thousand rules to trade by just from my trading history and you hit upon exactly the mistakes I have made in the past as well. As long as one has the ability to evaluate and learn from these experiences anyone can be very successful at trading.

In any case, just wanted to say that everyone involved on this thread and the Market Gems service has contributed with some very good insight and analysis on trading, regardless if you are a day trader or position trader, like me.

Keep up the good work!!!
