>>komatsu and Lambda Physic do continue to try<< One installation every three years. hehehehehe That's trying alright. Face it, Cymer has a monopoly leadership position - and could easily run up to 50x projected earnings at $ 2.50 - $ 4.00 over the next 18 months. What a buying opportunity.

Good Luck To Each And All

Mani, a few quick thoughts

MSFT and INTC get a premium because of the large barrier to entry for competitors

CYMI employs 2/3 of the world's brainpower in their technology. This alone is an enormous barrier to entry that cannot be matched.

How many lasers per year would the industry need during the boom time?

This is Akins' projections for the laser market over the next few years

2000 500,000,000
2001 750,000,000
2002 900,000,000

Dell gets a premium because proven, large, sustaining growth rate.

True. This is one of my basic assumptions about what will happen to CYMI. It wasn't around during the last semi-equip upturn. Don't you wish you got into Dell at the beginning? You have that chance now with CYMI.
