RE: Rig Count

It should be noted that although the "drilling for gas" rig count has gone up dramatically, it has only been 5 months since its low point. High rig utilization will eventually translate to more natural gas production, but will not do so immediatley. Also most of the increase in rig utilization has been land based drilling where reserves found and initial production rates are in general smaller than GOM natural gas wells. It also takes more time, in general, to get GOM wells drilled and online. Thus, even when GOM drilling ticks up significantly, it will take some time fro the new reserves to get to market.
