I have question. If the we import most of our oil, and the dollar is getting whacked, wouldn't this push up the price of imported oil? If this were true, wouldn't this then stimulate more domestic drilling, since the drilling costs (based on the dollar plunge) here would not have changed in dollars terms (though they are increasing independently of the dollar crisis)?

Just consider how the dollar affects oil pricing.
