Any fundamental reason why VECO should be down? Its been a very volitile stock and seems to bounce quickly whenever sentiment turns?

For Quantum DSS holders-EXBT just received the M2 ASIC back from IBM (a week early). They will know very soon if not already) whether the problems from the first pass were fixed. They have been saying they were highly confident they found them all (3 of a 500,000 gate chip). They have continued to insist they are highly confident of mid-November revenue shipments which would put them way ahead of rumored SDLT dates of first qtr to mid-year 2000. Has anyone checked with QNTM regarding SDLT timing.

Another rumor out in Boulder is that Exabyte is trying to get themselves ready for merger or takeover, something I would have expected long ago (except for a formidable poison pill). Anyone care to speculate who might be interested in M2 or Exabyte's library operations?

Mark,
>Looks like it's not a bad time to have cash?<
It does indeed.
I see Innovex finally DID something serious towards new business development to replace the wire business. That is very encouraging to me. Have you kept in touch with them on their new acquisition?

Best Regards....Tom
