i think the G-7 could trigger another selloff on MON..they will do ZERO for ther Yen/$$$$

SF - i need a point or two winner here - in following up WL#6, this came out this morning... does it bother you it appears the company is willing to pay out more regarding this?

ABC COMPANY, Ltd. Makes Announcement
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 1999--ABC COMPANY announced today that it has extended the consent solicitation expiration date with respect to the $172.5 million 12 1/4% Senior Notes due 2006, $200 million 9 1/8% % Senior Notes due 2008, $100 million 12% Senior Notes due 2008, $200 million 10 1/2% Senior Notes due 2008, $175 million 9 7/8% Senior Notes due 2009, $328.1 million 10 1/8% Senior Discount Notes due 2008 and DM296.0 million 10% Senior Discount Notes due 2008 issued by its subsidiary ABC COMPANY to 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on September 28, 1999.

ABC also announced that it has raised the fee payable on the consent solicitation. The Company will pay 0.50 percent of the principal amount (or, in the case of the Senior Discount Notes, 0.50 percent of the accreted amount as of the nearest interest payment date) of Notes with respect to which a valid and unrevoked consent has been received prior to the Expiration Time. The consent fee will be paid only if consents are received from a majority in principal amount of each series of Notes.
