About the only time I will go short is if the stock goes through the strike price I sell and someone calls it from me which I will go short then. I do cover sometimes if I believe my outlook has changed from the time I sold the calls naked! I will also short a stock if options are not traded on a stock, but very seldom is that the case! By the way I sold 20 calls this A.M. for $7 or a total of $14,000 less a little comm., which for three weeks and they expire is not a bad bit of change. I have a total of 70 naked calls on EBAY with a strike price $150, and have some more 160's and 180's which were sold a couple of months ago also on EBAY! Most of my 150's on EBAY were sold a month or so ago when EBAY was much lower, but still received a higher premium on the calls then what they are selling for today. (The time value is really beginning to be sucked out of them now with less than a month to go!)
