I do not have the knowledge to understand IPO's. It seems from what has been said here that your presentation would be in OUR best interest.

"As an alternative suggestion, Ampex could distribute rights to purchase shares at the IPO price. I believe that this is
how Safeguard Scientific does it. That, as I suggested, causes people to want to own the holding company in
anticipation of the next IPO, and I think causes them to sell at a premium to the securities they own, rather than as a closed end fund trading at a discount."

When ATT spun off Lucent, how did they do it?

Personally, I would prefer to be given my share of iNEXTV as a spin off in stock, as I own a share of it now. Seems to me that any other way would be cheating current share holders. As you described, an option to buy at IPO price would be nice and should contribute to a run up in AXC's price, but, this still doesn't seem fair.

Not for a minute, do I think they will spin off and Bransom not get his share of the new stock. My fear would be that he and others would sell off current AXC stock for the purchase of the IPO priced shares.

BTW...It's my fault that the market is tanking just when AXC is getting the PR it needs. This is my bad luck...blame me!
