I think you're missing his point. All CDMAers automatically assume that CDMA will be the transfer of choice now and well into the future over GSM/TDMA, when in fact new buildout rates continue to be higher for GSM/TDMA. Why the chuckle? both you and I know why wll-CDMA narrowband systems continue to be installed reference TDMA/GSM systems (and for that matter IDC's BCDMA), and I've been told it has little to do with superior technology. by the way, the total count on the number of WLL-TDMA/GSM systems installed still outweighs CDMA. By the way, if you want to study a fascinating technology which NOK is looking to impliment, look at Wavetrace which has been developing time division duplexing. NOK is utilizing IDC's 3g technology as well for their endeavor so it goes.

it is something that you perceive IDC/NOK relationship as a "weak reed". Now I had to Chuckle at this. Are you referring to IDC's stock price performance, technology, cash in the bank, TDMA/GSM IPRs, licensees, previous earnings, management; to what are you referring? And if you say all of the above, you are simply speaking through your proverbial hat.
