The information I have now is: furniture.com has 50,000 piece furniture on line, they provide expert chat room, style guide, room planner so you can somehow visualize the room when you plan the purchase. Homepoint.com and living.com are its competitors, they do more general stuff, like anything related to home. Their claimed market is 178 billion. drugstore.com is the competitor for mothernature.com, it does persciption and other drugs, including health care product, beauty product, which is the specialty for mothernature.com. So drugstore has bigger market, but mothernature is more specialized. Mothernature's claimed market is 15 billion, but if include home furnishing like bedding or mattress and so on, it is about 30 billion. drugstore's claimed market is $180 billion. Correct me if I am wrong. mothernature can build community as well, so it is an advantage, furniture.com need to do complex ecommerce, because customer care takes a lot of effort. they offer free delivery, install the furniture, but all the online furniture store do this. both management team are pretty strong. You know bamboo.com, what's their future? I think preview the house online is very necessary. And recently garden.com will go public, it specialize in garden product. another company specialize in online luxury jewelry sale, called ediamond or something.
