Working from home today, I have my television on this morning (which is a rarity) and have been flipping through the channels (I don't have cable). On three different morning network news programs, I have heard commentators/reporters criticize Microsoft president Steve Ballmer for his comments yesterday. What's interesting is that in all three instances, the criticism was over the fact that Ballmer's comments caused the market to go down. However, no one addressed the issue of whether Ballmer was speaking the truth. Such is the crowd mentality, when everyone wants the market to go up, and people are critical of anyone that does anything to cause the market to go down - it doesn't matter if the truth is being spoken. You'd think Ballmer would know better than anyone if his company's stock is appropriately priced.

Thanks,
-Eric
