Greg,

I've been thinking along the same lines. Bought some ZNLAO's yesterday at the close. Should have waited until today - but I'm not displeased.

Spikes in the price of SDRAMs have design engineers rethinking the mix of SDRAM versus Direct Rambus designs they
may put into the mix this fall, potentially nudging the ramp of Rambus up a notch.

"We've been told to go back and look at Rambus designs," said the NEC engineer. "Instead of a 95/5 percent mix of
SDRAM and Rambus we may move to a 90/10 percent mix. But that would require a whole new mix of chip sets and
other components and a whole new test program. It's not a simple change."

Taking things in perspective, it seems to me that the events of the last few days have conspired to do several things to the Rambus ramp dynamic. First of all, there is the quake effect and what that means to DRAM pricing and to infrastructure slowdown, and second there is this CNET story about MOBO's.

Both IMO have created a situation where the likelihood of a faster ramp is increased while the current value of the whole has been temporarily decreased.

I also note that there is no change in the strategic dynamic that is occuring with the adoption of Rambus technology.

If that's not a buying opportunity of a large order, I don't know what is but I'm also sure that there are many contrary opinions on this.

Remember, JMHO.
