That is such a great story. I am glad you shared it. I know you have said that sharing the stories, is not something you want to do because of it appearing to be like bragging instead of something you have done out of the goodness of your heart. (Not your exact words)But this story is a perfect example of making the little things the important things in life.

Shall I resist sharing how you have touched the lives of two other kids that you have never met??? <wink....thanks>

Jorj, that was a great example.

If more people could share these, it would make this discussion more meaningful.

I believe sharing part of your life IS a MEANINGFUL way of helping others.

I guess most people are afraid of talking about their dark side as well as their bright side.
In a way I regret SI does not provide a complete anonymity.
If each person were just assigned a # or completely different alias, perhaps we could talk about ourselves more freely.

I moved around so much, I never had a chance to develop a close relationship with any of my friends.
I wouldn't discuss these with my current friends.
To me, it is easier to open up myself in cyberspace
