OT: Observations on DSL. The most dramatic change, for me, is ?on all the time.? My previous habit was to go in cycles through the various sites I use: sign on , site 1, 2, 3, etc., sign off. There is considerably less anxiety about accomplishing all the necessary tasks while on line, not forgetting something and having to sign on again just for that, and so forth.

The second most significant change is flipping through messages. When you first click on an URL, if the site doesn?t answer quickly, the wait is the same as usual, but once the site has responded, the page just pops on immediately, and it is the same for flipping through messages. Significantly faster.

Another thing is ?fear of cut off.? That?s gone. For me, cut offs had already driven me to compose most of my messages off line (not to mention the advantages of having a spell checker), so this is not quite the advantage it might be, but that is made up for by the fact that it is now no big deal to go to Word, compose the message, and go to SI and post. A click away.

I have only had a chance to check out the changes in video to a small degree. The buffering takes place much faster, of course. The playback is continuous and smooth. The audio is crystal clear. The picture is not very good but does not stop and start or freeze mid word and such, but it is blurry.

Be glad to test it for anyone with questions.
