I like their style. Makes more sense than saying we are on the prowl. Just do it baby! Wonder if they said this with a straight face. Wonder if BVF thinks they mean it? Perhaps Sibia was such a small deal it does not even count?

Depends on what the definition of absolutely is, or perhaps the key word is merger. They can acquire all they want to grow, they just wont merge with anyone to grow, "externally".

I do not believe Merck would even consider a merger. This is a tight-lipped company.

They couldn't stand the publicity!! <VBG>

And, I believe Merck executives would consider a merger an invasion of their privacy! <Smile>

I am amazed that they even told us they expect to meet earnings! <grin>
