Hunter, I believe there is some short covering as well as people that missed the gap up getting in here. I think that we are going to witness the usual scenario of "when it rains, it pours", which means that in the next few weeks we may hear of some additional delays and at least partial desertions, thus my forecast of the low $60 before this massacre is over still stands. If we go into a bear market from here (I would consider a break below 9400 on the DOW as a bear market), we may even see lower than $61 prices. For now, I have a very low probability for such an event before year end (and actually before 2001), so I would not be too concerned.

Why,if this is such a disaster

It means that pc-133 will get better and more widely established in the market. while rambus rollout is delayed to 1 or 2 quarters the lose of momentum makes it like 3 or4 quarters. Now long investors will have to fight a more vigorus rambus vs pc-200(or whatever) war.
If the camino is slid, I'll be playing rambus from the 50 dollar level.
