Why? Did the Rambus delay somehow magically make SDRAM a more stable solution? PC-133 is still a dead-end technology.

If anything, it opens the door for DDR, not PC-133.

I don't know where you get these funny ideas. Everyone who isn't using Rambus is using PC133 (or PC100).

(I'm talking about PC main memory of course. Non-PC applications are another story).

Dave:

If anything, it's anything but RDRAM.

Gee I'm starting to sound like I'm a short. I think short interest levels are decreasing sharply. Who in their rightmind would buy into downgrade. I am guessing sellers are selling to shorts to a high degree. Why do you think were holding 70. Soon as they get their fill by Monday and Intel makes Camino announcement, we go lower. I also think that Fidelity will have meeting over weekend to decide how to handle their multimillion share portfolio. At 6.4M shares traded today they haven't made up their minds yet.
I took my lumps and I am neutral and ready to go short soon as Intel officially pushs Camino/Carmel out one more day. Up until now Rambus technology didn't cost Intel that much money that they couldn't makeup in 4Q. Now the cracks in Intel's gameplan is plain to see. Intel is rising today from 72 to 76 on extremely low volume that could easily be reversed by any other downgrades.
