Cabletel Communications' (TTV) Stirling Subsidiary
To Supply Equipment For Israel's First Direct
Satellite Service

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--Cabletel Communications (AMEX: TTV, TSE: TTV) today announced that its Stirling Connectors
subsidiary has secured a contract to supply equipment to help launch Israel's first Direct Broadcast Satellite service (DBS.) The
contract is estimated to generate up to US$3 million in revenue to Cabletel.

Stirling Connectors, Cabletel's manufacturing division, has been selected by Regev Outsourcing International Procurement Ltd.
to supply custom-built connectors to YES, an entity of Bezek Communications (Israel's telephone company.) YES is launching
the first DBS service in Israel. ''We chose Cabletel because their people understood our technical needs and could deliver on
time and on budget,'' explained Ami Regev, General Manager of Regev International.

Bruce Buck, President-Sales and Marketing of Stirling Connectors termed the arrangement with Regev an example of the
growing interest in Stirling products from companies around the world. ''We are pleased to be working with Regev to develop
innovative products and solutions to the communications sector in Israel and in other export markets.''

Regev International Outsourcing and Procurement Ltd. is a leader in Israel in distributing a wide range of technical products to
the communications industry.

telecommunications industries, offering a wide variety of products required to construct, build, maintain and upgrade
