Terrapin: To add to Tero's post. How about that for fun.

A phone is a box.

A computer is a box.

What matter in both cases is what is inside.

That is the key point.

Qualcomm has the best inside.

Nokia and Motorola have their own ASICs inside - not the Q's.

Therefore on the innards, Nokia and Motorola are in direct competition with the Q - although note that both pay the Q a royalty to compete on the innards and the phone box itself.

Suggest you think about Tero's recent post on Qualcomm, Motorola and Nokia in this context.

Best.

Chaz

PS Pretty boxes sell better than ugly ones. Nokia's are pretty and small and convenient. And as Tero said, Nokia and Motorola have many many many selling advantages all around the world in organization, contacts, name recognition and on and on. Very very powerful stuff. And of course good for Qualcomm, since as Nokia and Motorola sell more CDMA related stuff, the more royalty money the Q collects.

Qualcomm and Nokia. Together the World !
