I bet one of the 3 milestones is revenue over $100MM per quarter.

I've been waiting for that one for 10 quarters myself.

My guess on the 3:

1) DVD ramp up (100M+ rev, yada yada)
2) DVx consumer to market (finally!)
3) Digital Cable & DBS crank up...good visibility

BTw...check out Herb bashing my ACTN again...he's gone over the edge on this one. If there are is no cooking the books going on or inventory scams...then this is the bottom, IMO.

Samsung Expands SpinPoint Family With Introduction of New 10.2GB/Disk V10200 Series of Hard Drives

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Samsung Information Systems America's Storage System Division announces the SpinPoint V10200 Series of hard disk drives, the newest member of its 5400 RPM SpinPoint Family.

Featuring 10.2GB per disk technology, Samsung has moved ahead of most of its competition, becoming only the second disk drive manufacturer to announce the highest areal density in the industry. Leveraging the technology of the recently announced SpinPoint V9100 Series, the new V10200 Series offers capacity points at the 10.2GB, 15.3GB, and 20.4GB levels, UDMA66 interface, A/V optimized firmware, and proprietary ImpacGuard and Shock Skin Bumper (SSB) features for enhanced shock protection.

The V10200 Series also features industry leading acoustics technology, designed to virtually eliminate noise when the drive is in seek mode. Volume shipments of the V10200 Series will start in October.

"With the V10200 Series, we have greatly expanded the number of storage solutions available to our customers," said Thomas Judge, Samsung's Director of Marketing. "While the recently announced V9100 Series provides the solutions of choice to our commercial desktop customers, the new V10200 Series introduces capacities that fit nicely into the needs of customers who are looking to meet the storage requirements of their consumer product lines."

"The SpinPoint 10200 Series is designed to meet Samsung's strategic vision of time to market, areal density leadership, and competitive pricing," said Logan Saverimuthu, Samsung's VP of Engineering. "We are driven to meet our customers' specific requirements by partnering with leading technology and high quality suppliers to deliver storage solutions on a low-cost platform. "

In addition to offering the highest areal density in the industry, Samsung's SpinPoint 10200 Series hard disk drive includes a new acoustic noise damper design. "The consumer applications and Digital Video Recorder markets require high capacity, low acoustic noise, and low price," Saverimuthu added. "With the SpinPoint 10200 Series, Samsung now leads the industry in hard disk drive acoustics technology.

"This new acoustic damper technology, in combination with the series' A/V optimized firmware and expanded capacities, makes the V10200 an excellent choice for those markets."

The SpinPoint V10200 Series features GMR head technology with wireless suspension design, and offers an 8.5ms seek time, UDMA66 interface, and a 512KB buffer. Like the V9100 Series, which started shipping earlier this month, the SpinPoint V10200 comes with ImpacGuard and SSB features that enhance non-operating shock resistance. Through these proprietary features, Samsung continues to lead the industry in hard disk drive shock protection.

Samsung supports the SpinPoint V10200 Series with a three-year warranty that includes toll-free technical support 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
