IF the article is accurate, this is almost good news. Sort of. Remember the Pentium I and the unreleased defects list? And the $400MM recall. And the defect was a 1 in 27MM chance. AND all the bad press not because of the defect, but of the "cover up" and its alienation of the Nerd Herd(c)? Well, compare and contrast. This stuff is going to Big Boys. Intel takes the hit and takes immediate action. Kind of refreshing and reassuring, don't ya think? If I were in MIS I'd want these guys on my side.
