Know how you feel but I stayed out (I was one click away from switching back to the sp 500 index fund at the fidelity internet site but couldn't go through
with it!). eveb though it has been my experience that I'm better off
taking the 1, 2, or 3 percent profit when I guess right on a downturn than trying to hold on for more.

Speaking as J6P I don't believe this isn't like last year. The collapse of Asia was a BIG deal. A potential quarter point interest rate hike isn't.
Are y2k fears hurting that much? Inflation fears? Overvaluation? I just don't see any of this combining to
cause a crash let alone much more of a correction. It will take something dramatic to really rock this market imo.
