OT - KIS, of course he was telling the truth. My point was that someone in Balmer's position doesn't go shooting off his mouth without considering the consequences, and especially in this case the consequences of his comments are so obvious I don't see how he could have failed to think of them. I mean, do you think he's going to start saying every random thing he can think of that happens to be true, like Bill Gates' glasses are ugly, he has bad hair, oh yeah, and by the way, we've been conspiring to stifle competition from day one? I doubt it!

OT: Speculation... Alan Greenspan did a Vulcan mind meld with the MSFT Prez. so it wouldn't have to be the Fedral Reserve Board's fault for the next crash - Big Al gets to keep his job!

Maybe Al cut MSFT a deal regarding their uh eh hem... EMPLOYEE STOCK OPTIONS!!!! fiasco which IF accounted for shows MSFT having a net LOSS of 60 Billion rather than a net profit of 20. Of course we all know the independant Auditor got fired by MSFT when he happened to point out this little "discrepancy" in the books.

Then again MSFT is like a small Country unto itself... i.e. what did Clinton do when he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar? I know create a diversion for the masses... KOSOVO!

Still Long on Gold... Cracked $270 today... up $15, mak'n a killing!

LOL...
