RE <<<Ted, Are you out?>>>

Phil, I am still here.....Friday was not nearly as bad as I expected. Probably shouldn't say that because then Monday will be a killer. I am surprised that mtsn is getting hit is hard as it is since it is not cyclical like the chipmakers who are very dependent on Q3 and 4 revenues. (Its cyclical but in different way....I'm sure you know what I mean). Unfortunately I think anyone, including chip equipment makers, who is remotely related to chip making are getting punished for the earthquake.

I will be surprised if the selling continues on Monday because I think most chipmakers bottomed and turned up late Friday (I think mtsn did as well). The only exception may be intc because of its camino chipset problems. If I am wrong I will sell mtsn and take what profits I have left and reenter at a lower level.

Phil

BTW I think if things return to normal fairly quickly, meaning Taiwan's power is back on next week, mtsn will move back up quickly to its recent new levels. A lot of people who jumped ship are on margin and they had no choice but to anticipate the worst. When they find out that things are not that bad they will be back in.

Unfortunately the situation is fluid until things settle down in Taiwan.

Just my very, very humble opinion.
