Good points. I wonder if the infrastructure projects are being funded by the Western automobile lobby, in order to boost their sales. However, having been exposed to the Indian way of life for more than a decade, I have no doubts that (a) those roads will not be maintained, (b) traffic laws will not be enforced, and (c) air and noise pollution will keep getting worse and worse, with each passing year. Btw, how soon do you think the rupee will go down to 50-to-a-dollar level? My guess is it will happen within a year, if not sooner.
