Paul,
The last I remember of Dan Niles' reports was from several months ago when Intel was in the low 60s and Dan was a leading "BEAR" on INTC. At that time he was warning that INTC would not make their Q's numbers because of lower ASP's, along with lower GP Margins. It was Ashuk Kumar of Piper Jaffray, who at the time, put out a BUY recommendation the next day, which started the upward movement of INTC into the low 90s. I remember thinking that Dan was apparently attempting to mimic Tom Kurlak in that he was exaggerating the negative and understating the positive. But that was just my biased interpretation.

Anyway, if Dan is correct, than Drew Peck's warning yesterday, of shortages in PC components should have no impact on Intel. After all, there should now be a supply of an additional 2M units available for shipment in Q4. My point is that both analysts can't be right, and INTC shouldn't have been taken down twice based on these conflicting negative comments.
Regards,
Jules
