Interesting article but are they really all that informed?

First... how long before plants in Taiwan are back on-line? Does anyone know...? Does exsisting inventory accomodate this lag? Does anyone know

Doesn't Intel build the complete platform motherboard and all for many vendors? If Intel has no fab in Taiwan than it would appear that they should be fine.

Second sourcing. The article seems to ignore this possibility. I would think that Intel is smart enough to have second sources.

I don't know. I get the feeling that this is a good buying opportunity. Things will return to normal in Taiwan (as far as production goes) in a month or two..that's my WAG. Inventory may not be enough but it'll be close.

What's the consensus on the thread so far. I'm begining to like the semi's here...

Kenneth - Re:"So is it time to short INTC?"

If you feel like Intel is a good short, my recommendation is to SHORT the heck out of it.

You could very possibly make a small (or possibly LARGE) fortune if you do.
