Eric, Good point about Windows2k being focussed on the business market meaning a different type of hype. I just can't see a quiet launch (of course no midnight madness). This product has been hyped so much. I can image a huge advertising blitz. Look at the IBM ads---they are directed at business but i see them on all types of TV programs. It may be an image thing during this launch and i bet MSFT will want everyone to know about the product whether they need it or not. Up until now, i have been very disappointed with MSFT's advertising that i have seen. IBM does a much better job of working with peoples' subconsious levels with their ads.

MSFT's commercials that i have seen are analogous (sorry for the spelling) to elevator music. Even the Office2k commercials were boring. The last good one that i recall was the Windows95---start me up commercial. Maybe they should take some lessons from IBM.
