WinVCR gives Hauppauge customers the ability to record TV signals in MPEG video without expensive MPEG specific hardware. WinVCR uses cutting edge MPEG encoding technology from Ligos Corp. Hauppauge's WinTV boards, compatible with Microsoft Windows95, 98, 2000 and NT, enable personal computers to receive and display up to 125 cable channels in an adjustable window without affecting other software programs in use. WinVCR takes the digital signal from the WinTV card and records an MPEG file in real-time.
